Day 1 Arrive in Guilin

Arrive in Guilin, airport/train station picking up and transfer to hotel. The rest time, you can walk around on your own or take some rest in the hotel

Day 2 Guilin- Lijiang River Cruise Yang Suo

Our guide will pick you up from your hotel around 08:00, then transfer to Zhujiang Pier which takes an hour. Cruise down the Li River to Yangshuo and enjoy the beauty of the fabulous scenery. Lunch is served on boat. The river tour is more than 83 kilometers long and takes 4 to 5 hours. Disembark your boat when arriving Yangshuo. Have a stroll over the West Street - a 1400-year-old ancient street with Chinese style buildings. There are some optional Yangshuo tours available at your own expense: bamboo rafting on Yulong River; tour to Silver Cave; watching cormorants catching fishes; countryside tours by bike; visit village and a family to get some ideas of the local farmers' lifestyle.

Day 3 Yangsuo-Longsheng- sanjiang

After breakfast, you will head for Longsheng to visit the Dragon's Backbone Rice Terraces. Some 27 kilometers (16 miles) away from the town of Longsheng, the terraces stretch layer upon layer from the mountain base to its summit. From the 13th century during the Yuan Dynasty, the local Zhuang people started to construct and use the amazing terraces. Now, the Dragon's Backbone Rice Terraces cover an area of 66 square kilometers (about 16,308 acres) and span an altitude between 300 meters (about 984 feet) and 1,100 meters (about 3,608 feet). Standing on the mountain, you will be shocked by the patches of fields and curve lines around the mountains. You will then pay a visit to the Villages of Zhuang to experience the unique Chinese ethnic culture. Then continue the private trip to Sanjiang and check in the local 4-star Jingxiang Hotel.

Day 4 Sanjiang- Guilin

Today you will take a Dong Minority tour to the Dong Village in Sanjiang. Situated at the foot of mountains and surrounded by rivers, Dong Village features well-preserved residential houses and charming natural landscape. In the village, you will see the landmark constructions of Dong village, the Wind and Rain Bridge and the Drum Tower. Constructed with wood and bricks, the Wind and Rain Bridge blend the styles of bridge, corridor and kiosk into a whole, reflecting the unique Dong style and the wisdom of the Dong people. The bridge was built to provide a shelter for the people who works in fields, but later became a date place for the young people and a famous attraction to visitors at home and abroad. When you see the lofty pointed tower with upturned eaves, you will know that you come to a Dong Village. The Drum Tower is always located in the center of a village, acting as the political and cultural center. Every time when the chief of the village beats the drum on the top floor, villagers will stop their work and get together around the Drum Tower. You will then take a comfortable car-ride back to Guilin and have a good rest at the hotel.

Day 5 Guilin departure

Drive 1.5 hours back to Guilin. Tour to the the Reed Flute Cave and the Elephant Trunk Hill. Enjoy a pleasant walk around the scenic Banyan Lake, Fir Lake and the Southern Ancient Gate. Transfer to Guilin airport for your departure, end of service.   Reed Flute Cave: It is 500 meters long and takes about fifty minutes to explore. The cave is the most visited karst cave in Guilin, located 5 kilometers in the northwest of the city. Inside the cave are a number of fantastic stalagmites, stalactites, stone curtains, stone pillars, and stone flowers. There are 77 stone inscriptions in the cave covering many years of China's storied history.  Elephant Trunk Hill: It lies on the western bank of the Li River in the southeast of Guilin, where the Peach Blossom River joints the Li River. Elephant Hill is one of the most visited attractions in Guilin and is regarded as the symbol of the city. The hill is a lump of rock with a large hole in it, shaped like a huge elephant drinking water from the river.
