Harbin Ice Snow Festival + Siberian Tiger 3 Days Tour

Day 1 : Harbin Arrival

Arrive in Harbin and transfer to hotel and rest. The rest time is for you to have some relaxed time or hang around nearby yoursleves. 

Day 2: Harbin Ice and Snow Festival

In the morning we will visit the Central Street and St. Sophia Cathedral Plaza.

St. Sophia Cathedral in Harbin is the largest Eastern Orthodox Church in the Far East. It is 53.3 meters (175 feet) high and occupies an area of 721 square meters (0.18 acres). In November, 1996, it was listed as one of the Key Cultural Relics under State Protection. Half a year later, the city government repaired it and renamed it as Harbin Art Gallery. It is a respectable landmark for Harbiners and for tourism.

Known as the 'Eastern Moscow', Harbin has always been regarded as a unique and exotic city. The most exotic place in Harbin is Central Street, known as Zhongyang Dajie (中央大街) in Chinese. As a new comer to this city without any idea of where to go, be sure to start your journey at 'Central Street'. This long corridor of European architectural art is the pride of every local in this city. It provides an enthralling destination which abounds with history, attracting tourists from home and abroad.

Later in the afternoon, we will proceed to the famous Siberian Tiger Park.

Siberian Tiger Park is located on the north bank of the Songhua River to the northwest of Harbin, occupying an area of 1,440,000 square meters (355.8 acres). It is the largest natural park for wild Siberian tigers in the world at present. It is divided into ten areas, including the young tiger area, the mature tiger area, the king tiger area, a walking area, and a platform for viewing the tigers. Unlike common zoos, the Siberian Tiger Park exchanges the roles of visitors and animals. Except in the walking area and the platform for viewing the tigers, tourists must take a bus encircled by wire mesh to all the other scenic spots while the tigers roam freely in the fields.

Afterwards, we will explore the highlight of this trip: Sun Island Snow Sculpture Expo and Harbin Ice and Snow Festival.

Being famous both home and abroad, the Sun Island Scenic Area lies on the north bank of the Songhua River. The island in winter is just a dreamlike fairy world all covered by ice and snow. You will see many marvelous and huge snow sculptures inside the island.

Later you will go to visit the Ice and Snow World. Located on the north bank of the Songhua River, the Ice and Snow Amusement World is a major attraction of Harbin Interactional Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival dunging the winter. There are full of awesome ice and snow sculptures created by artists from all around world. Kind note that please wear enough layers of proper clothes and warm shoes to keep you away from the freeze especially when you want to stay there longer to enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Day 3 Harbin Departure

After breakfast, you can take part in some ice activities at Songhua River, such as ice sloping, ice boating or watch winter swimming performance etc. (The actual activities may differ depending on the time we visit). Then visit Heilongjiang Provincial Museum. 

Heilongjiang Provincial Museum was built in 1906 in classical European Baroque style and run by the provincial government. It is the largest museum and one of the oldest shopping malls in Heilongjiang province.

After lunch, you will be escorted to the airport for your own arranged flight back home.
