According to Wuhan Central Hospital, Li Wenliang, an ophthalmologist at Wuhan Central Hospital, was infected in the fight against the noval Coronavirus and died at 2:58 a.m. on February 7, 2020.

On Dec. 30, 2019, Li wenliang told his friends via Wechat:

In the Huanan Fruit and Seafood Market, 7 SARS cases were confirmed and quarantined in the Emergency Department.

Due to his early warning, many doctors in Wuhan were alerted and strengthened the protection.

However, days after, he and other 7 citizens, among which 4 were doctors were accused of making “false comments”.

"The eight people are honorable." said Zeng Guang, chief scientist of the CDC's Epidemiology Department when interviewed by Hu Xijin, the editor of the Global Times on Jan. 29.

After he returned to his work, Dr. Li suspected that the virus could spread from person to person. But this time, he chose to keep quiet.

On Feb. 10, his famiy showed the symptoms.

On Feb. 11, Dr. Li Wenliang also had fever.

On Feb. 12, Dr. Li Wenliang was in hospital as suspected patient.

On Feb. 1, he was diagnosed with the noval Coronavirus.

On Feb. 7, Dr. Li wenliang passed away.

A journalise interviewed him "What would you like to do after getting well?". He said: "When I get well, I will also sign up for medical team in the front line. The epidemic is still spreading. I don't want to be a deserter."
