Bullet trains to Zhangjiajie and Laos are available now!

Zhangjiajie is well-known worldwide for its unique landscape and extrodinary scenaries and have attacted tourists from all over the world!  However it's also a fact that it's really not so convenient and quite costly to travel there!

Now it is also possible to take the train to Laos from China

It's also the first time to have trains running to Xishuangban ( a city in Yunnan) which borders Mymmar and Laos，very close to Thailand and Vietnam.

With a maximum operating speed of 160-km per hour, the travel time from Kunming to Vientiane takes about 10 hours. China launched the first cross-border train of its multi-billion-dollar Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) from Laos, which Beijing says will help the small and only landlocked country in South East Asia turn into a land-linked hub, boost regional connectivity and supply chain resilience.

The first train of the China-Laos Railway left Vientiane soon after the cross-border railway was officially put into operation, the state-run Xinhua news agency reported.Besides China, Laos shares borders with Vietnam, Thailand, Myanmar and Cambodia which offered Beijing to extend the train project to those countries.

Many of them have had to wait a long time for compensation or have received insufficient amounts, according to a report by the Lao Movement for Human Rights.
