Summer Paradise - Hongkou

Hongkou National Natural Reserve in Sichuan is located in the north of Dujiangyan, only 60km away from Chengdu, making it an ideal place to spend the weekend with families and friends. Hongkou drift is a highlight of this scenic area, especially in the hot and stuffy summer.

This natural reserve has high mountains, valleys, forest and waterfalls. Temperature at Hongkou is much lower than that in downtown Chengdu. It’s a recreational palace to drift, play mahjong and camp.

Drift

Known as "The First Drift in West", Hongkou drift is the only natural waters drift in China. You can feel the ecological charm and experience the exciting activities at the same time. There are two types of drift: helmsman drift (10km) and free drift (7.5km).

It's suggested to bring some spare clothes, underwears, and a pair of slippers.

Mahjong

Mahjong is not only a normal entertainment method, but also a social media to make friends and do business in China since old times. You just cannot imagine the craziness of mahjong lovers. At Hongkou, they have found a unique way to escape from the merciless heat and play mahjong together: Mahjong on Water!

Camping

Located in the natural reserve, the scenery at camping site is unique with pleasant climate. Imagine yourself sleeping under the starry night, enjoying the coolness with bonfire nearby. What a night!
